(FRONT STREET (B6310) & SYKE ROAD, BURNOPFD1LD) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2021
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on Front St (B6310), from St James' Church to outside no 7 and Syke Rd, from its junction with Front St (B6310) to its junction with Cedar Cres to enable Durham County Council carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. Alt route from the east side of the closure continuing on the B6310, then in a south westerly direction continuing on the B6310, then in a south westerly direction on to Fines Rd, then in a south easterly direction on to Pont Ln, then east on the A692, then either north on to Syke Rd or continuing on the A692, then west, back on to the B6310 and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence between 7am to 7pm daily on 10/8/21 and are anticipated to be completed in 4 days. On occasions, alternative dates tor closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
