(C183 PELTON BANK / PELTON LANE, CHESTER-LE-STREET) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2016
The Council, on 09.06.16 made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all vehicular traffic a 430m length of C183 Pelton Bank from and including its junction with Villiers Place to, and including, its junction with the road between 22 and 23 Hilda Terrace, Chester-le-Street to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required between 0930 and 1530 hrs per day from Sun 19.06.16 and for the duration of the works, anticipated to be 6 days. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: from the south eastern side of the closure from Pelton Bank Roundabout northwards on Newcastle Road to A693 Northlands Roundabout then westerly along A693 to the Pelton Roundabout and southerly onto Pelton Lane to the north western side of the closure, and vice versa.
(SHINCLIFFE, HIGH SHINCLIFFE & BOWBURN)
(PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2014 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2015
On 09.06.16 the Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2 & 4 & Pt IV of Sch. 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), as amended, the effects of which come into operation on 20.06.16 and introduces a No Waiting At Any Time restriction on the Bowburn North Industrial Estate Road across the junction to access into units 5a to 6e. Full details are contained in the sealed Order which may be inspected at Bowburn Library and County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours; & via the Council website. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by "the Act", or on the grounds that anyrequirementofthatAct orofanyregulation madeunderithas not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 16.06.16, apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
