ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY PROHIBITION OF TURNING MOVEMENTS FOR CYCLISTS ORDER - 2021 - EAST WARD BURY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough has made the above named Order under Sections 1,2 and 4 the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended as follows:-

i) B6222 Bell Lane - Bury - Prohibition of right turn for cyclists exiting Hoyles Park on to the proposed Segregated Pedestrian & Cycle crossing adjacent to Hoyles Park (Ref. PC79)



ii) B6222 Bell Lane - Bury - Prohibition of left turn for cyclists exiting the unnamed road opposite Hoyles Park on to the proposed Segregated Pedestrian & Cycle crossing adjacent to Hoyles Park (Ref. PC79)



iii) B6221 Wash Lane - Bury - Prohibition of right turn for cyclists exiting Pine Street on to the Segregated Pedestrian & Cycle crossing that runs between Pine Street & Pine Street South (Ref. PC82)



iv) B6221 Wash Lane - Bury - Prohibition of left turn for cyclists exiting Pine Street South on to the Segregated Pedestrian & Cycle crossing that runs between Pine Street & Pine Street South Ref. (PC82)



THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (VARIOUS SITES, EAST WARD, BURY) PROHIBITION OF DRIVING (EXCEPT FOR CYCLES) AND REVOCATION ORDER 2021

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough has made the above named Order under Sections 1,2,4 and 92 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended as follows:-These prohibitions where appropriate include obstructions in accordance with Section 92 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

i) St Paul's St Bury - for a distance of 4m in a south westerly direction from its junction with B6222 Bell Lane (Ref. PC/78)



ii) Cedar St Bury - for a distance of 5m in an easterly direction from its junction with B6219 Parsonage St (Ref. PC/80)



iii) Pine St Bury - for a distance of 14m in a northerly direction from its junction with B6221 Wash Lane (Ref. PC82)



iv) Pine St South Bury - for a distance of 10m in a southerly direction from its junction with B6221 Wash Lane (Ref. PC82)



v) Pine St South - Bury - for a distance of 7m in a northerly direction from its junction with A58 Rochdale Rd (Ref. PC83)



vi) Deal St Bury - from its junction with Cedar St for a distance of 3m in a northerly direction



vii) Pine St - for a distance of 7m in a southerly direction from its junction with Maxwell St



The Greater Manchester County (Deal Street, Bury) (Prohibition of Driving) (Borough) Order 1978 and The Metropolitan Borough of Bury (Deal Street, Bury) (Revocation of Prohibition of Driving) Order 2002 have been revoked as the above proposals will include the restrictions from those Orders

A copy of the Order which comes into operation on 18/01/21, a plan showing the roads and areas affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be requested by email at

quoting reference TM2/20/483 for the overall scheme proposals or the PC sub reference for an individual site.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks of 18/01/21 apply to the High Court for that purpose.
