ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (WASH LANE, BURY) TEMPORARY ONE WAY AND CLOSURE ORDER 2020

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (WASH LANE, BURY) TEMPORARY ONE WAY AND CLOSURE ORDER 2020 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding as follows:-

1) South easterly bound on Wash Ln, Bury - between Bond St & Rochdale Rd



2) Wash Ln, Bury - between Willow St & Rochdale Rd



The reason for the proposed order is to enable construction works for carriageway widening and for retaining wall to be carried out. The alternative routes will be:-

1) Via Bond St & Rochdale Rd



2) Via Bond St & Rochdale Rd& vice versa



The Order comes into operation on Thursday 01/10/20 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 12-15 weeks. Dated 01/10/20 Council Solicitor

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 NEW TOUCAN CROSSING / NEW SEGREGATED PEDESTRIAN & CYCLE CROSSING / REMOVAL OF EXISTING PELICAN CROSSING - EAST WARD - BURY NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police for Greater Manchester, proposes to install new Toucan / Segregated Pedestrian & Cycle crossings and remove an existing Pelican crossing in the East Ward area of Bury not less than 21 days from the date of this notice at the following locations.

i) B6222 Bell Ln - Bury - proposed new Toucan Crossing



adjacent to St Paul's St (Ref. PC78)

ii) B6222 Bell Ln - Bury - proposed new Segregated Pedestrian &



Cycle crossing - adjacent to un-named street opposite Hoyles's Park (Ref. PC79)

iii) B6222 Bell Ln - Bury - proposed removal of existing Pelican Crossing



- 12m west of the junction of B6222 Bell Ln with Willow St (Ref. PC79)

A copy of the plans showing the locations of the new Toucan / Segregated Pedestrian & Cycle crossings and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the proposals may be requested by email at

quoting reference TM2/20/483 for the overall scheme proposals or the PC sub reference for an individual site.

All representations whether in support or objecting to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and sent to the Head of Engineering, 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury BL9 0EJ or preferably by email to

traffic@bury.gov.uk

quoting ref: TM2/20/483 or the PC reference for an individual site by 22/10/20.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (BRIGHT STREET, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2020 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-

Bright St, Bury - Temp Road Closure The closure is in place to enable electrical works in the carriageway. Diversion route via Bell Ln, Bridge St, Bright St and vice versa. The proposed Order comes into operation on 12/10/20 and remains in force for up to 3 months the anticipated duration of works is 10 days. Dated 01/10/20 Council Solicitor
