EXTENSION TO: THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN (FOOTPATHS 155 (PART) 207 (PART) 209 (PART) AND 211 (PART) DARWEN (TEMPORARY FOOTPATHS CLOSURE) ORDER 2016
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred by sub-section (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved of the continuing in force of the Order made on 28th January 2016 and effective from the 28th January 2016. As the works have not been completed The Secretary of State for Transport granted a further extension of the Order until 28 January 2018 or until completion of work, whichever is the earlier.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any persons from using the footpaths referred to in the Schedules below to facilitate the construction works associated with the decommissioning of Jacks Key Reservoir. The alternative routes available are referred to in the Schedule. The paths will be closed in the interests of public safety.

During the closure of footpath 211 Darwen (clough street) an alternative route is in place
using footpath 212 at SD70290 20730 marked F to Cranberry lane and Spring vale Garden village. This is shown with a bold dashed line.
