EXTENSION TO: THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN FOOTPATH 207 (PART) & 211 (PART) CRANBERRY LANE DARWEN (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH
CLOSURE) ORDER 2019 Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred by sub-section (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved of the continuing in force of the Order made on and effective from 21 November 2019. As the works have not been completed The Secretary of State for Transport granted a further extension of the Order until 21 November 2021 or until completion of work, whichever is the earlier.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any persons from using the footpaths referred to in the Schedule below due to works being carried out on the line of the right of way. The alternative routes available (if any) are referred to in the schedule below.
The paths will be closed in the interests of public safety.

During the closure of 207 Darwen (part) there will be an alternative route in place from SD 70542 20688 Marked G in a South Easterly direction along Cranberry Lane for approximately 190 m to SD70655 20535 marked F where the footpath turns through the field in a South Westerly direction following an existing footpath for approximately 210m to SD 70459 20457 marked E. This is shown with a dashed line.
During the closure of footpath 211 (part) there will be an alternative route in place from SD 70314 20678 marked A in a North Westerly direction for approximately 32m to SD 70286 20663 marked B. The path then turns in a North Easterly direction for approximately 280m to SD70455 20479 marked C. This is shown with a dashed line.
