The above order, The Borough of Blackburn with Darwen Public Bridleway 208 Darwen, made on 30th June 2022 under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980, will if confirmed create a public bridleway over the land set out at Part 1 of the Schedule to this Notice and shown by a line between points Q and O on the Order Map. A copy of the Order and Map may be examined at the Public Notice Boards outside Blackburn Town Hall and Darwen Town Hall free of charge. Copies of the Order may be purchased at the price of 50p, please make a request to

Compensation for depreciation or damage for disturbance arising as a result of the coming into force of the order is payable under section 28 of the Highways Act 1980.
Any representations about or objections to the Order together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and sent to the undersigned to be received no later than 1st August 2022. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn Blackburn with Borough Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

A bridleway 3m wide from the junction of FP209 & FP155 Darwen at the Old Weir at Jack Key's at Point Q (SD 70442 20426) in an East-North-Easterly direction for a length of approximately 240m via Point K (SD 70460 20455) to Cranberry Lane at Point O (SD 70657 20536) to upgrade existing FP 208.
