NOTICE OF CONFIRMATON OF AN ORDER PUBLIC PATH CREATION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
The Borough of Blackburn with Darwen Public Bridleway 208 Darwen Public Path Creation Order 2022
On 15th December 2022 Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council confirmed the above order made under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980 ("the Act") and section 53(A)(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the order as confirmed is to create a public bridleway over the land set out at Part 1 of the Schedule to this Notice and shown by a line between points Q and O on the Order Map.
A copy of the Order and Map may be examined at the Public Notice Boards outside Blackburn Town Hall and Darwen Town Hall free of charge. Copies of the Order may be purchased at the price of 50p, please make a request to Public.RightofWay@blackburn.gov.uk.
The order comes into force following 28 days from the date of this notice, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the date of this notice, make an application to the High Court.

PART 1 - DESCRIPTION OF LAND - ROUTE TO BE CREATED
Bridleway 208 Darwen
A bridleway 3m wide from the junction of FP209 & FP155 Darwen at the Old Weir at Jack Key's at Point Q (SD 70442 20426) in an East-North-Easterly direction for a length of approximately 240m via Point K (SD 70460 20455) to Cranberry Lane at Point O (SD 70657 20536) to upgrade existing FP 208.
