The Borough of Blackburn with Darwen (Stansfeld Street, Hancock Street, Coleridge Street and Baldwin Street, Blackburn) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Notice 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council consider it necessary or expedient by reason of works being executed on the following length of road that the prohibition should come into force without delay and have, under Section 14(2) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, temporarily prohibited any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Stansfeld Street, Blackburn from its junction with Bank Top to its junction with Coleridge Street, to close Hancock Street, Blackburn from its junction with Bank Top to its junction with Dickinson Close, to close Coleridge Street, Blackburn from its junction with Stansfeld Street to its junction with Hancock Street and to close Baldwin Street, Blackburn from its junction with Stansfeld Street to its junction with Hancock Street.

The closure is neccessary for the following reason: Housing Construction

An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via: Bank Top, Montrose Street,

Coleridge Street, Stansfeld Street and Dickinson Close.

? The one way system on Stansfeld Street between the junctions of Coleridge Street and Dickinson Close is to be revoked for the duration of the works.

The prohibition of vehicular traffic will operate from 4th May 2020 and will be in place for five days, or until completion of the works if earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 12th July 2020.
