Notice is hereby given under Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council intends to dispose by way of granting a 25 year lease for continued use as football playing fields operated by a local football club that operates in the Borough an area of land which consists of 9 football pitches (being 3 full size adult pitches, 4 three-quarter size pitches and 2 9v9 pitches), associated changing rooms and car parking being land known as the Blacksnape playing fields, Darwen which consists or forms part of an area of public open space. Due to the movement restrictions as a result of Corona-covid-19, a plan showing the area of the public open space land intended to be intended to be leased and supporting documents, including the Council's decision to proceed with the proposed lease can be provided by email on request, by emailing:
