THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (FOOTPATH NO.109397 IN THE CITY OF CARLISLE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Cumbria County Council on 26 October 2021, which became operative on 1 November 2021, to enable Gleeson Homes Ltd to carry out installation works in connection with a new housing development ("the Works") and which would otherwise expire on 1 November 2022
: has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 31 March 2023.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the entire length of Footpath No. 109397 Deer Park, in the City of Carlisle.
There is no suitable alternative available however, the contractor may, when possible, provide advisory/informal diversion routes whilst the restriction is in place, which would be indicated on site by the display of the relevant traffic signs. If the works have not been completed within the extension period, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the appropriate Minister.
