Definitive Map Modification Order No 2 2022

The above named Order made on 17 May 2022 if confirmed will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding new lengths of public footpath at Deer Park in the City of Carlisle.
The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modification, will be to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding a new length of public footpath from GR NY 3894 5749 north-northwestwards for about 153 metres to GR NY 3886 5762; then curving northwestwards for about 39 metres to GR NY 3883 5763; then southwestwards for about 53 metres to GR NY
3879 5760; then west-southwestwards for about 55 metres to

GR NY 3874 5759; and
a new length of public footpath from GR NY 3877 5761 northwestwards for about 117 metres to GR NY 3870 5770 (spur section west-north-westwards for about 13 metres to GR NY 3869 5770); then eastwards for about 111 metres to GR NY 3880 5772; then southeastwards for about 113 metres to GR NY 3888 5764; then southwestwards for about 28 metres to GR NY 3886 5762.
The width of the new sections of public footpath will be 2
metres.

A copy of the Order and map may be inspected free of charge at the offices of the Countryside Access Team, The Parkhouse Building, Kingmoor Business Park, Carlisle CA6 4SJ by appointment only (ref 5.2.378). Details of the Order may be viewed on the County Council's website and copies of the Order may be purchased at a cost of
£2 per A4 sheet and £3 per A3 sheet. Alternatively contact

for further information. Any supporting statements or objections with respect to the Order can be sent in writing to the Countryside Access Team, (by post or email as addresses above) to be received not later than 8 July 2022 and should state the grounds on which they are made.

If no objections are duly made to the Order, or to any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Cumbria County Council instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment any representations and objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it. Chief Legal Officer
