(U553I UNDER LOUGHRIGG ROAD, AMBLESIDE, U5768 FALLBARROW ROAD, BOWNESS-ON-WINDERMERE
AND U536I DOVE NEST LANE, ENDMOOR) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cadent Gas to carry out new gas connection works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road:-
1. U5532 Under Loughrigg Road, Ambleside from a point approx. 475m south of its junction with the A59I, extending in a southerly direction for a distance of approx. 65m.
Alternative Routes: South Bound Vehicles: via the U5532, A59I, A59I Rydal Road, A591 Market Place, A591 Lake Road, A591 Wansfell Road, A593 Borrans Road, A593 and the U5532 Under Loughrigg Road. North Bound Vehicles: via the u5532 Under Loughrigg Road, A593, A593 Rothay Road, A593 Compston Road, A59I Rydal Road, A59l and the U5532.
Duration: From 7 June 2021 for approx. 3 days (Ref: SLB2I/I4).
2. U5768 Fallbarrow Road, Bowness-on-Windermere from a point approx. 137m south of its junction with the A592 Rayrigg Road, extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 32m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U5768 Fallbarrow Road, A592 Rayrigg Road, A592, U5768 Church Street, U5768 Robinson Place and the U5768 Lowside.
Duration: From 9 June 2021 for approx. 3 days (Ref: SLB2I/I5)
3. U536I Dove Nest Lane, Endmoor from a point approx. 157m north east from its junction with the U536I Enyeat Road, extending in a northerly direction for a distance of approx. 25m.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.
Duration: From 28 June 2021 for approx. 5 days (Ref: SLC2I/07)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(i) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
(ii)Apply to anything done with the permission orat the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
(iii)Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the road; and
(iv)Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works.

The Order will come into operation on 7 June 2021 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months, However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
