WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA CUMBRIA COUNTY COUNCIL (PARISH OF KENDAL: DISTRICT OF SOUTH LAKELAND) DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER (NO 2) 2018 The above named Order made on 6 September 2018 if confirmed will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a new length of public footpath in the parish of Kendal.

The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modification, will be to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding a new length of public footpath in the parish of Kendal from Kirkbarrow at GR 351540 491947 about 101 metres generally eastwards via a passageway to meet Kirkland Road at GR 351636 491949. The width of the new path will be 2.4 metres between GR 351540 491947 and GR 351579 491942 and 2 metres between GR 351579 491942 and GR 351636 491949.

A copy of the Order and map may be inspected free of charge at Kendal Library, Stricklandgate, Kendal and the offices of the Countryside Access Team, The Parkhouse Building, Kingmoor Business Park, Carlisle CA6 4SJ (ref 5.2.313). Copies of the Order may be purchased at a cost of 11 per A4 sheet and £3 per A3 sheet Alternatively contact countryside.access@cumbri&gov.uk for further information. Any supporting statements or objections with respect to the Order can be sent in writing to the Countryside Access Team, (by post or email as addresses above) to be received not later than 25 October 2018 and should state the grounds on which they are made.

If no objections are duly made to the Order, or to any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Cumbria County Council instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment any representations and objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
