The Lake District National Park Authority has entered into agreements with the landowners (South Lakeland District Council and The National Trust) to dedicate a footpath in Elleray Woods and to widen an existing footpath south of Orrest Head, Windermere, and to dedicate a public bridleway over a roadside path (part of which was already a public footpath) alongside the B5285 from Yewdale Bridge, Coniston to the Tarn Hows road above MonkConiston.
