NEW ROAD COMMON, KENDAL
Cumbria County Council has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006/section 23(2) of the National Trust Act 1971/article 12 of the Greater London Parks and Open Spaces Order 1967* to carry out restricted works on New Road Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State. The proposed works are: temporary works and compound area to facilitate the construction of the new Gooseholme footbridge square on an area of 0.079ha The works will be located on New Road Common. A copy of the application form and accompanying documents can be inspected at Cumbria County Council, County Hall, Kendal, LA9 4RQ during normal office hours until 11 October 2020.
