HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 CUMBRIA COUNTY COUNCIL (FOOTPATH NO 572010 PARISH OF STAINTON) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2017
On 7th December 2017 Cumbria County Council confirmed the above named Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order, as confirmed, will divert that section of public footpath no 572010 at Sketuegill from grid reference 352755 486632 extending 227 metres south eastwards to grid reference 3529 M 486507; to run from grid reference 352755 486632 for about 183 metres south eastwards to grid reference 352883 486502 then about 8 metres over bridge to grid reference 352890 486498 then 13 metres to grid reference 352900 486489 at C5074; and
that section of public footpath no 572010 at Skettlegill from grid reference 352922 486504 extending 227 metres south eastwards to grid reference 353105 486372; to run from grid reference 352904 486486 for about 52 metres south eastwards to grid reference 352936 486445 then 184 metres to grid reference 353105 486371 The width of the new sections of public footpath will be 2 metres widening to 2.6 over the bridge.

The order comes into force immediately, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 14 December 2017 make an application to the High Court
