The County Of Cumbria (Footpath No. 244044 In The Parish Of Maryport) (Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Cumbria County Council on 21 June 2022, which became operative on 1 July 2022, because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to a dangerous bridge structure and to enable subsequent repair works to be carried out ("the Works") and which would otherwise expire on 1 January 2023
: has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 1 July 2023.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along an approx. 3.5 metre length of Public Footpath No. 244044 in the Parish of Maryport, extending over the footbridge between Grid References: 304343 536459 and 304346 536458.

There is no suitable alternative route available for pedestrians. If the works have not been completed within the extension period, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the appropriate Minister.
