THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA
U2849 SYCAMORE ROAD AND U28I8 MEADOW WAY, MARYPORT TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Sapphire Utility Solutions to carry out drainage works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
1. U2849 Sycamore Road, Maryport from a point approx. 70 metres north east of its junction with the U2818 Laburnum Grove, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 20m: Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Sycamore Road, Meadow Way and the A594 Ellenborough Road.
Duration: From 24 January 2023 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTRO/2216).
2. U2818, Meadow Way, Maryport, from a point approx. 15 metres north east of its junction with Nether View, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 20m;
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Meadow Way, Sycamore Road and A594 Ellenborough Road.
Duration: From 25 January 2023 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTRO/2237).
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(i) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
(ii) Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
(iii) Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and
(iv) Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 303 2992 or via the Cumbria County Council website. The references to quote are detailed above.
The Order will come into operation on 24 January 2023 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as stated above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
