Bothel, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION)
ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Aptus Utilities to carry out works to install LV and HV mains ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road:
1. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U2281, Cross Lonning, Bothel, from its junction with the C2001, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 145 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U2281, the A595, B5301 and the C2001, Plumbland and Threapland.
Duration: From 31 October 2022 for approx. 1 week (Ref: TTRO/1551).
2. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C2001, Cross Lonning, Bothel, from its junction with the U2281, extending in a westerly direction for approx. 305 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2001, the A595 and the B5301.
Duration: From 7 November 2022 for approx. 2 weeks (Ref: TTRO/1563).
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(i) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
(ii) Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
(iii) Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and
(iv) Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 303 2992 or via the Cumbria County Council website. The references to quote are stated above.
The Order will come into operation on 31 October 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
