Queens Road, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic

The County Of Cumbria (Queens Road, Kendal, U5546 King Street, Ambleside And C5099 Slackhead Road, Beetham) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Network Plus to carry out utility works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is;
1. Prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time, on any day and from loading and unloading (including blue badge holders), at any time, on any day along that section of Queens Road, Kendal (both sides), from its junction with Serpentine Road to its junction with Low Fellside.

Duration: From 22 August 2022 until 30 August 2022 (Ref: SL22EXT/8/16)
2. Prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time, on any day and from loading and unloading (including blue badge holders), at any time, on any day along that section of the U5546 King Street, Ambleside (both sides), from its junction with Kelsick Road to its junction with Church Street.

Duration: From 22 August 2022 for approx. 4 days (Ref: SL22EXT/8/19)
3. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C5099 Slackhead Road, Beetham, from its junction with Deepdale Close, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 123m;

Alternative Route: via Leighton Beck Lane, Brackenthwaite Road,
C5098 and unrestricted section of the C5099.
Duration: From 5 September 2022 for approx. 3 days

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(i) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by
statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
(ii)Apply to anything done with the permission or at the
direction of a police constable in uniform; and
(iii)Have the effect of preventing at any time access for
pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road,
or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and
only from the road; and
(iv)Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 303 2992 or via the Cumbria County Council website. The references to quote are stated above.

The Order will come into operation on 22 August 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
