(HORDEN RAKE & BROKEN STONE ROAD, BLACKBURN) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND REVOCATION 7.5 TONNES WEIGHT RESTRICTION) ORDER 2022

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, intend to make the above Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. There will also be temporary revocation of 7.5 tonnes weight restriction on Gib Lane, Blackburn for its entire length.

The effect of the Order is to close Horden Rake & Broken Stone Road from its junction with Livesey Branch Road to its junction with Gib Lane. The effect of the Order also temporarily revokes the 7.5 tonnes weight restriction on the alternative route which is set out below.

The closure is neccessary for the following reason: Mains lay for housing development.

The Order will come into force on 25th July 2022 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2nd December 2022. The alternative route for the affected traffic will be Livesey Branch Road and Gib Lane and vice versa.
