THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (VARIOUS ROADS IN THE SOUTH LAKELAND AREA) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) (NO.4) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria Highways to carry out carriageway patching including associated drainage and highway works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e., vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force. Phased works will not necessarily be done in numerical order.

Cumbria Highways will ensure that local residents and the general public are informed of which roads are to be closed and when, nearer the time.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:

1. Apply to emergency personnel and emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and



2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and



3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and



4. Apply to personnel and vehicles being used in connection with the Works.

The Order will come into operation on 23 May 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen

months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required within the 3 month

period from 23 May 2022 and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

1. C5070, Fiddlergill, Docker - Approx. duration 14 days



From its junction with the C5068 extending in an easterly direction to its junction with the C5069 Old Scotch Road. Alternative route: via the C5068 Docker Lane and Kiln Road, A684 and C5069 Old Scotch Road.

2. U5623, Meathop - Approx. duration 5 days



From its junction with the B5277, extending in an easterly direction for approx. 955 metres to Meathop Hall Alternative route: Via the B5277 Lindale Road and U5623 Meathop Road.

3. U5358, Millness Lane, Crooklands - Approx. duration 10 days



From its junction with the A65, extending in a south westerly direction to its junction with the U5356, Wath Sutton. Alternative route: via the U5356, B6385 and A65 Crooklands.

4. U5341, Mabbin Hall Lane, Leasgill - Approx. duration 14 days



From its junction with the C5072, extending in an easterly direction to its junction with the C5071, Greenside. Alternative route: via the C5072, C5073 Woodhouse Lane and C5071.

5. U5625, Hawes Lane, Natland - Approx. duration 14 days



From its junction with the A591 Prizet crossroads, extending in an easterly direction to its junction with the C5071, Natland Road.

Alternative routes: East Bound Vehicles: via the A591 northbound, exit slip A6 Shenstone, A6 Milnthorpe Road, A6 Romney Road and C5071 Natland Road.

West Bound Vehicles: via the C5071 Natland Road, A6 Romney Road, A6 Milnthorpe Road and A591 southbound.

6. U5387, Old Town, Mansergh - Approx. duration 5 days



From its junction with the B6254 Old Town, extending in an eastly direction to its junction with the C5079, Nether

Hall.

Alternative route: via the B6254 Kearstwick and C5079 Nether Hall.

7. U5384, Ellerigg Lane, Barbon - Approx. duration 5 days



From its junction with the C5082 High Road, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 721 metres towards Eskholme

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

8. U5514, Old Road, Garsdale - Approx. duration 14 days



From its western junction with the A684, extending in a north easterly direction to its eastern junction with the A684

at Clough Bridge.

Alternative route: via the A684.

9. U5510, Grisedale Road, Garsdale - Approx. duration 14 days



From its junction with the U5514 Old Road extending in a northerly direction for approx. 2,670 metres to East House.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

10. C5057, Longsleddale - Approx. duration 21 days



From Garnett Bridge, extending in a north westerly direction for approx.7,900 metres to Sadgill. There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

11. C5099, Slackhead, Hale - Approx. duration 14 days



From its junction with the C5097 Slackhead, extending in a south easterly direction to its junction with the C5098, Hale More Farm.

Alternative route: via the C5098, A6, C5095 Stanley Street, Beetham and C5097.

12. U5506, Deepdale, Dent - Approx. duration 15 days



From its junction with the U5475 Greenwell, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 6,200 metres to Peat

Gate.

Alternative route via the U5475, C5101, B6255 Ingleton, A65 and unrestricted section of the U5506.
