Proposed development at: White Moss and Heathwaite Moss, Duddon Mosses, Wreaks Causeway, Broughton West, Broughton in Furness, Cumbria LA20 6BS. Take notice that application is being made by: Natural England For planning permission to: The proposed works include regular bunding and re-profiling of the damaged peat. The works will restore the naturally high water level of the lowland raised bog which will allow peat-forming plants to flourish and, in the long-term, enable the bog to become self-sustaining again. Historical drainage ditches will be blocked using bunds.
