THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (A595 WREAKS CAUSEWAY)(TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria County Council to carry out ("the Works), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding at speeds in excess of 30 miles per hour along that section of the A595 Wreaks Causeway from a point approx 695m south east of its junction with the U5073, extending in an overall southerly direction for approx B30m.
N.B. The 30 miles per hour speed restriction will operate where work is ongoing but the contractor's operatives and plant are not on site. It is required to protect road users passing through restricted width traffic lanes.
No speed limit imposed by this Order will apply to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

The Order will come into operation on 7 October 2019 and may continue in force for a period of up to eighteen months from that date as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required for I week.
