ADVISORY NOTICE THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (A595 WREAKS CAUSEWAY, NEAR BROUGHTON-IN-FURNESS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019

The County Council of Cumbria made an Order to enable Metcalfe Civil Engineering to carry out bridge saddling works ("the Works"), which came into operation on 4th May 2019, the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along the section of the A595 Wreaks Causeway, near Broughton-in-Furness from its junction with the U5073 extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx.240m. A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the A595, A5092, A5084, A593, and CS05I.

Nothing in the Order to which this notices relates shall:

(a) Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and



(b) Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and



(c) Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works THE WORKS TO BE CARRIED OUT UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE ABOVE ORDER ARE NOW SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE ON THE FOLLOWING DAYS:- FRIDAY 21 ST JUNE 2019, FOR I NIGHT, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 20:00 - 06:00
