THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (FOOTPATH NO. 530013 IN THE PARISH OF HELSINGTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Volker Stevin to install flood defences ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along an approx.440 metre section of Public Footpath No. 530013 at Scroggs Lane in the Parish of Helsington, between Grid References 351221 490606 and 351266 490172.

There is no suitable alternative route for pedestrians however, the contractor may, when possible and safe to do so, provide advisory/informal diversion routes whilst the restriction is in place, which would be indicated on site by the display of the relevant traffic signs.

The Order will come into operation on 14 March 2022 and may continue in force for a period of up to six months from that date as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required for 1 month.
