ADVISORY NOTICE THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (A592 NEAR TROUTBECK) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2020
Cumbria Count/ Council made an order to enable Cumbria Highways to carry out rock wall remediation works ("the Works) which came into operation on 2nd March 2020.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the A592 near Troutbeck from a point approx. 5.7km north of its {unction with the A59I extending in a northerly direction for approx. I km.
The Works have been rescheduled and will now be carried out under the provisons of the above stated Order on 19th October 2020 for a duration of 3 weeks, between the hours of 20:00 - 05:00, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via A592, A59I, A66, B5322, A59I and A593.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall: I. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and 2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and 3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and 4, Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works.
