The County Of Cumbria (U556i Bridge Lane, Near Pingle Wood, Troutbeck) (Temporary Width Restriction) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger to the public, caused by an unstable embankment and retaining wall adjacent to the road, which has necessitated the reduction in width of the available carriageway to highway users, by temporary traffic lights, the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle which exceeds 2.5m in width, from proceeding along that section of the U5561 Bridge Lane, near Pinglewood, Troutbeck, from a point approx. 440metres south of its junction with Holbeck Lane, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 60 metres. A suitable alternative route for vehicles exceeding 2.5 metres in width will be available via Bridge Lane, A591 and Holbeck Lane. N.B. This follows 2 emergency notices dated 8 April 2022 and 29 April 2022.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency service vehicles,

2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
