THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (VARIOUS ROADS, SOUTH LAKELAND AREA) (CONSOLIDATION OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS) (ORDER 2002) (MINTSFEET ROAD AND SHAP ROAD, KENDAL) VARIATION ORDER 2018
1. The Cumbria County Council hereby give notice that on 19 April 2018 it made the above Order under Sections 1,2, 19,32, 35, 35A, 38, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 64 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The Order will come into operation on 30 April 2018 and its effect will be to introduce "No Waiting, 8 am - 6 pm, Monday to Saturday" restrictions on: -
both sides of Mintsfeet Road, Kendal, from a point 14 metres from its junction with Shap Road, extending for a distance of 60 metres in a westerly direction on the north side and for a distance of 38 metres on the south side; and (ii) on the west side of Shap Road, Kendal, from a point 10 metres from its junction with the northern kerb line of Mintsfeet Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 24 metres.
3. Full details of the Order, together with plans showing the lengths of road concerned, a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order and a copy of the Order to be varied, may be inspected at the offices of Cumbria Highways, County Offices, Kendal, LA94RQ.
4. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks of 19 April 2018 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
