PUBLIC PATH NOTICE THE LAKE DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC 529037, MOUNTAIN ROAD, HAWKSHEAD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS GIVEN that under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Lake District National Park Authority has made an order dated 22 January 2018. The effect of the order is to prohibit all public four-wheeled traffic for all purposes from proceeding over Byway Open to All Traffic 529037, Mountain Road, Hawkshead Parish between grid references NY 3416 9947 and NY 3474 0045, to enable resurfacing works. The notice and plan showing the route concerned may be inspected during normal office or opening hours at the National Park Authority Offices, Murley Moss, Oxenholme Road, Kendal, LA9 7RL; at South Lakeland District Council, South Lakeland House, Lowther Street, Kendal LA9 4DQ; and at Hawkshead Post Office, Main Street, Hawkshead, Ambleside, Cumbria, LA22 ONS; and is also available online atwww.lakedistrict.gov.uk/visiting/thingstodo/rowupdates/ rowclosures. The order will take effect on 26 January 2018 and will continue in force for six months but it is expected that the path will be restricted during works for only about two weeks during this period. When works are taking place, signs will be erected showing the restricted path. The path will be accessible as normal other than on these days. If the works have not been completed it may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State. Authority Solicitor, 22 January 2018
