The County Of Cumbria (Footpath No. 536213 In The Parish Of Kendal) (Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians) Order 2022
Notice is Hereby Given that the Order made by Cumbria County Council on 29 March 2022, which became operative on 4 April 2022, to enable Volkerstevin to carry out works to install flood defences along the riverside of the River Kent ("the Works"), and which would otherwise expire on 4 October 2022:
has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 4 April 2023.
The effect the Order is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the entire length of Public Footpath No. 536213, over Jennings Bridge, in the Parish of Kendal. A suitable alternative route for pedestrians will be available along the edge of the River Kent, via Nether Bridge or Miller Bridge. If the works have not been completed within the extension period, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the appropriate Minister.
