THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN (PRITCHARD STREET, BLACKBURN) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2017

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, propose to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to allow works for the repairs and maintenance of North West Water apparatus to be carried out. The effect of the Order is to close Pritchard Street, Blackburn to all vehicular traffic from its junction with Pilmuir Road to its junction with Bryan Street. The diversion route for affected traffic will be; For west-bound traffic: via Pritchard Street, Bryan Street, Abraham Street, Southworth Street and Pritchard Street. For east-bound traffic: via Pritchard Street, Pilmuir Road, Lynthorpe Road, Lyndhurst Road and Pritchard Street. The Order will come into force on Wednesday, 27th September 2017, and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed

by Tuesday 10th October 2017.
