(OUTWOOD ROAD AND OXFORD ROAD, BURNLEY, BURNLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)(2)ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the following lengths of highway in the Borough of Burnley;
i. Outwood Road from its junction with A671 Todmorden Road to a point outside property No.8 Outwood Road.
ii. Oxford Road from its junction with A671 Todmorden Road to its junction with Rear 1-17a Hufling Lane.
2. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Monday 14th August 2017 until 1700 hours on Sunday 20th August 2017 or until completion of the works within this period.
3. An alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
Diversion 1 (Outwood Road)
Outwood Road- Woodgrove Road – Stewart Street – A671 Todmorden Road and vice versa
Diversion 2 (Oxford Road)
Oxford Road – Clarence Street – A671 Todmorden Road and vice versa
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow utility works to be carried out.
