THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) THE BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 048 TURTON BRADSHAW SOUTH) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO.) ORDER 2017

The Borough Council of Bolton intends to make an Order not less than seven days from the date of this Notice.

The effect of which will be operative from 6th February 2017 and will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath 048 Turton Bradshaw South commencing approximately 178m from Longsight Lane point A at grid reference SD 373783 411063 in a generally north westerly by westerly direction to point B at grid reference SD 373668 411083 as shown by the bold, black line on the Order plan1TBS048 over a total distance of approximately 130 metres. An alternative route is available commencing from public footpath Turton Bradshaw South 048, point A at grid reference SD 373783 411063; public footpath Turton Bradshaw South 041 (Longsight Lane) then public footpath Turton Bradshaw South 043 to pointB atgrid reference SD 373668 411083 as shown by the blue line with arrowheads on the Order plan 1TBS048.

The Order is necessary to facilitate essential bridge refurbishment works and will continue for 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. Dated: 26th January 2017

THE BOLTON (ASTLEY BRIDGE NORTH AREA, BOLTON) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO.3) ORDER 2017

The Council have made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, operative from 2nd February, 2017 its effect will be to impose a speed limit of 20 mph on roads within the Astley Bridge North Area, Bolton. This is an area comprising residential roads accessed from Crompton Way between Blackburn Road and Watermillock Gardens, roads between Belmont Road and Blackburn Road to the north of Sweetloves Lane and roads in the Thorham Drive/Andrew Lane area, as specified in the Order.

A copy of the Order, plans and statement of reasons may be viewed at Highways and Engineering Division, 3rd Floor, Paderborn House, Civic Centre, Bolton, during office hours (by appointment, tel: 01204 336677).

Anybody wishing to question the Order's provisions or validity may, within 6 weeks from the 26th January 2017 apply to the High Court for this purpose. Dated: 26th January 2017

Croft Gate - Both sides - From the extended south-westerly kerbline of Longsight

Lane for a distance of 15 metres in a south-westerly direction.

Longsight Lane - Both sides - From a point 15 metres northeast of the extended

north-easterly kerbline of Hough Fold Way in a south easterly direction to a point

15 metres south west of the extended south westerly kerbline of Hough Fold Way.

Bluebell Close - Both sides - From the extended north-easterly kerbline of Hough

Fold Way for a distance of 15 metres in a north-easterly direction.

Bluebell Close - Both sides - From the north-east point of its cul-de-sac end, in

a south-easterly direction for 6 metres, and in a south-westerly direction for 17

metres, including the turning head south-easterly side.

Poppy Close - Both sides - From its south-westerly end (at its south-western cul-de-sac) for a distance of 8 metres in a north-easterly direction.

Poppy Close - Both sides - From its north-easterly end (at its north-eastern cul-de-sac) for a distance of 10 metres in a south-westerly direction. This is an area comprising those residential roads within Smithills Ward that are not currentlysubject to a 20mph speed limit order and also part ofTemple Road which falls within Crompton Ward, as specified in the draft Order.
