Proposal To Change The Age Range Of St Bees Village Primary School

Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that Cumbria County Council intends to change the age range of St Bees Village Primary School, Main Street, St Bees CA27 0AA from 4 to 11 years to 2 to 11 years of age on 1 January 2023.

This change would allow the Governor-led childcare already in the school to become a maintained nursery as part of St Bees Village Primary School. This notice is an extract from the complete proposals. Copies of the complete proposals can be obtained from Cumbria County Council, School Organisation Team, Parkhouse Building, Baron Way, Kingmoor Business Park, Carlisle, Cumbria CA6 4SJ.

Within four weeks from the publication of this proposal, any person may object to or make comments on the proposal by writing to Cumbria County Council at the address above or by emailing

All objections and other comments made (and not withdrawn in writing) within the representation period will be sent in full to Cumbria County Council's Cabinet and published on the website, thereby making them a public document.
