The County Of Cumbria (Various Roads In The South Lakeland Area Area) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) (No.6) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria Highways to carry out various highways works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.
Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force. Phased works will not necessarily be done in numerical order.
Cumbria Highways will ensure that local residents and the general public are informed of which roads are to be closed and when, nearer the time. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and

2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and

3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and

The Order will come into operation on 4 July 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for the number of days specified in the schedule, within the 1 month period from 4 July 2022, and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Extent Of Restrictions And Alternative Routes

1. U5361 Underhelm Oxenholme - Approx. duration 3 days (Ref: SL22/07/01)
From its junction with the B6254, extending in a southerly
direction for a distance of approx. 80m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of U5361, A65,
C5067 and the B6254.

2.
U5659 Well Heads Lane, near Hincaster - Approx. duration 3 days (Ref: SL22/07/04)
From a point approx. 230m north of its junction with the C5071 extending in a northerly direction under the A590 overbridge, for a distance of approx. 90m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U5659 Well Heads Lane and the C5071.

U5073 Wreaks End to A593, near Broughton-in-Furness - Approx. duration 7 days (Ref: SL22/04/05)
From its junction with the A595, extending in a northerly direction for a distance of approx. 850m Alternative Route: via the A595 and the A593.

C5019 High Grassings, Knipe Fold to Drunken Duck, Outgate - Approx. duration 5 days (Ref: SL22/04/06) From its junction with the C5020, extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 630m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of C5019, C5020,
B5286 and B5285.

5.
U5124 Rowe End, Pennington - Approx. duration 7 days (Ref: SL22/04/07)
From its junction with the U5123, extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 750m Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U5124, U5123 and the C5036.

6.
C5069 Killington (Old Scotch Road) - Approx. duration 5 days (Ref: SL22/04/09)
From a point approx. 90m south of its junction with the A684 extending in a southerly direction for a distance of approx. 130m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5069,
A684, B6256, C5079 and C5077.
