THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (C4004 LAKE VIEW, KIRKLAND AND U4024 SKELSCEUGH ROAD, NEAR FRIZINGTON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2022

THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (C4004 LAKE VIEW, KIRKLAND AND U4024 SKELSCEUGH ROAD, NEAR FRIZINGTON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria Highways to carry out carriageway works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road:

1. C4004 Lake View, Kirkland, from a point approx. 50m south of its junction with the U4026, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 150m:



Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C4004, C40I7 and the A5086 Cleator Moor, Frizington and Rowrah (Ref: CO22-028).

2. U4024 Skelsceugh Road, near Frizington, from a point approx. 350m south of its junction with die A5086, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 100m:



There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles (Ref: CO22-029)

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:

(i) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and



(ii) Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and



(iii)Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and

The Order will come into operation on I March 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 2 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
