THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (VARIOUS ROADS IN THE ALLERDALE AREA) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.6) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Network Plus Services Ltd to carry out highway works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to:
1. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road: -

i)C2027 Eaglesfield, from a point approx 35 metres east of its junction with Barkers Meadow, extending in an easterly direction for approx. 50 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2027, C2039 Brigham, C2007, Ellerbeck Brow, A66 (Cockermouth) and the A5086.
Duration: From 7 June 2021 for approx. 3 days (Ref: AL2I-260)
(ii) U2367 Henry Street, Cockermouth, from a point approx. 55 metres west of its junction with Princess Road, extending in a westerly direction for approx 38 metres.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Henry Street,
Princess Road, Fitz Road and Harrot Road.
Duration: From 23 June 2021 for approx. 3 days (Ref:
AL2I-26I)
(iii) C2039 High Brigham, Brigham, from a point approx 18 metres east of its junction with Hotchberry Road, extending in an easterly direction for approx 55 metres.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C2039 and C2007.
Duration: From 28 June 2021 for approx. 3 days (Ref: AL2I-262)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
2. Prohibit any vehicle to wait at any time, on any day or to load or unload, at any time, on any day (including blue badge holders), along the following lengths of road:

(i) U2382 St Helens Street, Cockermouth (south side) from a point approx 66 metres west of its junction with Waste Lane extending in a westerly direction to a point 86 metres west of its junction with Waste Lane; and

(ii) U2382 St Helens Street, Cockermouth (south side) from a point approx 90 metres west of its junction with Waste Lane, extending in a westerly direction to a point 119 metres west of

junction with Waste Lane. Duration: From 21 June 2021 for approx. 10 days (Ref: AL2I-263)
3. Prohibit any vehicle to proceed, other than in an easterly direction along that section of U2642 Bessemer Way, Workington from a point approx 95 metres south east of its junction with Lakes Road, extending in an overall easterly direction for approximately 305 metres, to a point with the A597 (Matalan Roundabout).

Alternative Route for West Bound Vehicles: via Solway Road, the A597, the Viaduct, Havelock Road and Derwent Drive. Duration: From 22 June 2021 for approx. 3 weeks (Ref: AL2I-264)
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(a) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties for those roads specified in l(i) to I (iii) inclusive, above; and

(b) Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and

(c)Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the road; and

The Order will come into operation on 7 June 2021 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months, However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
