THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (VARIOUS FOOTPATHS IN THE SOUTH LAKELAND AREA) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) (NO.I) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Volker Stevin to carry out flood alleviation works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along the lengths of Footpath specified in the attached Schedule. There are no suitable alternative routes available for pedestrians, but the Contractor may provide informal diversion routes for pedestrians on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary restrictions are in force. The Order will come into operation on 6 November 2020 but not all footpaths will be closed at the same time. The Order may continue in force for a maximum duration of six months and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. SCHEDULE EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS
1. An approx. 210 metre section of Public Footpath No.536065 at Romney Gardens in the Parish of Kendal between Grid References: 351760,491702 and 351773,491521; and

2. An approx. 160 metre section of Footpath at Romney Gardens, Kendal between Grid References 351752, 491529 and 351789,491663; and

3. An approx. 390 metre section of Public Footpath No. 557002 running alongside and through the grounds of the business premises known as 'Clarks Shoes' in the Parish of Natland between Grid References: 351806,490866 and 351694, 490595; and

4. An approx. 440 metre section of Public Footpath No. 530013 at Scroggs Lane in the Parish of Helsington between Grid References: 351221,490606 and 351266,490172.
