(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) (FOOTPATH NO. 540009 (part), KIRKBY LONSDALE) ORDER 2020 No. 6
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) (as amended)
Notice is hereby given that the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has made an Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along part of Footpath No. 540009 from the point of closure at GR SD 6107 7905 for a distance of apprax. 25 metres to GR SD 6106 7907 in the Parish of Kirkby Lonsdale in the district of South Lakeland from 17 October, 2020 until 27 March, 2021 inclusive.
This Order follows an Emergency Notice dated 26 September, 2020 until 16 October, 2020 inclusive.
The closure will be put into effect when necessary by means of the erection of notices and signs.
As this is a cul-de-sac footpath, there is no unrestricted suitable alternative route to be used during the closure period.
The closure is because of the likelihood of danger tothe public owing to damage to one of the main beams of the bridge and to allow works for the replacement of the bridge.
