THE LAKE DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY PUBLIC PATH NOTICE BRIDLEWAY 5730O9, AYSIDE, STAVELEY-IN-CARTMEL PARISH TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS GIVEN that under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Lake District National Park Authority has made an order dated 1 September 2020. The effect of the order is to prohibit all public traffic for all purposes from proceeding over Bridleway 573009 at Ayside, Staveley-in-Cartmel Parish, from the public road at Ayside hamlet [SD 3945 8359) southwards for 185 metres to SD 3936 8342), to enable the installation of electric and BT cables to a new development. The notice and plan showing the route concerned may be inspected during normal office or opening hours at the National Park Authority Offices, Murley Moss, Oxenholme Road, Kendal, LA9 7RL; at South Lakeland District Council, South Lakeland House, Lowther Street, Kendal, LA9 4D0j and at Lindale Post Office, Lindale Hill, Lindale, Grange-over-Sands, LA11 6LT; and online at

The order will take effect on 12 September 2020 and will continue in force for two months but it is expected that the works will be completed within the last two weeks of September 2020. When works are taking place, signs will be erected showing the dosed path. There is no suitable alternative, other than the public road to the west There will be no physical way through the site for walkers or riders. If the works have not been completed in time it may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State. Authority Solicitor, 1 September 2020
