A printing company has invested in a new printer to help the company grow and innovate.

H&H Reeds Printers, has installed a new Mimaki Flatbed Printer at its Milnthorpe base.

The new machine is capable of directly printing onto irregular shapes and material such as glass, plastic, wood and stone.

Managing director Andy Jackson believes that the new investment will elevate his firm - which also operates in Penrith - beyond the competition.

The company already receives 20 per cent of its orders from outside the north west and as far afield as the Falkland Islands.

Mr Jackson, said: “We are delighted with the purchase of this new and exciting technology.

“This cutting edge machinery will elevate us to the top level of signage manufacturing.

“The Mimaki flatbed printer enables us to expand the range of products and services we are able to offer, and we expect to see an increase in our productivity using this method of printing, making us very competitive in the market place.”

He added: “Increasingly people are looking for innovative printing methods across a variety of materials, so our investment in this new technology will be exciting news for our customers.”
