Shares in Stobart Group have hit a 16-month low.
The stock was trading at 99p on Friday, its lowest level since October 2014, although the shares rallied yesterday MON trading around 101.5p.
Stobart Group can trace its roots back to the 1970s when the business began as an offshoot of an agricultural contracting business in Hesket Newmarket.
Two years ago it sold a majority stake in the Eddie Stobart road haulage business to concentrate on in its other interests including aviation, warehousing and biomass.
The aviation division include Carlisle Airport, where Stobart Group hopes to start scheduled passenger flights to London Southend, Belfast and Dublin this year.
Chief executive Andrew Tinkler netted almost £900,000 by selling part of his shareholding in the business last month. JAN
He sold 824,939 shares at £1.04 a share.
Even after the disposal, he retains 28,476,811 shares, which represents 8.27 per cent of Stobart's share capital.
