A NORTHERN Ireland-based Renault Trucks dealer has announced the acquisition of Border Trucks in Carlisle.
Diamond Trucks, part of the Setanta Group, operates from two sites in Northern Ireland and Warrington, Cheshire.
Border Trucks, based at Kingstown Industrial Estate, is a Renault Trucks sales and service dealership that covers the wider borders area.
Under the group structure, Border Trucks will continue to operate as an independent business, with Stephen Whitehead remaining with the business as director and dealer principal.
Harry Nash, director of Diamond Trucks, said: “We continue to see significant value in the Renault Trucks brand and product range, which is gaining market share and confidence across the industry.
"Border Trucks brings a wealth of experience especially in the construction sector having strong partnerships with many of the key suppliers in this area, and we look forward to working with Stephen and the team to further develop the Renault Trucks brand in the Border region.”
Border Trucks director, Stephen Whitehead, said: “We are delighted to join the Setanta Group under their Diamond Trucks umbrella.
"As well as bringing enhanced opportunities to Border Trucks in terms of greater buying power and access to new suppliers and customers, it will also deliver enhanced benefits to existing customers in relation to products, service and support," he said.
