AN eyebrow specialist from Carlisle has claimed third place in an international competition for the trade in the Netherlands.

Ebony Harper, from Carlisle, owns successful brow business Harper Brow, based on Cecil Street.

After spending four successful years in the brow industry, Ebony has won an international award for her work at a competition in the Netherlands.

Ebony has said she loves being able to transform people's eyebrows and is now training as a 'brow educator' to help get others into the industry.

She said: "I have been a brow specialist for almost four years, and I am so passionate about the industry. I love transforming brows and giving my clients confidence.

"I offer a range of brow services, including waxing, tinting, henna, hybrid, lamination, and permanent makeup, all tailored to meet my clients' specific needs and requests.

"I have trained with some of the best artists in the world and am committed to continually learning, as there are always new trends and techniques to master and keep up with.

"Currently, I am in the process of becoming an educator and mentor, eager to help others enter this rewarding industry.

"It really is the best thing I ever did setting up my business on my own and becoming an award-winning brow artist."

The 26 year old took home the first place at the prestigious UK Browista competition, leading her on to the international competition in Rotterdam.

Speaking about the experience, Ebony said: "I am proud to have won first place in the UK Browista competition, which allowed me to represent the UK at the Worldwide Browista Championship in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where I placed third.

"So amazing to place this high in the championship.

"Competing in front of judges and demonstrating my techniques was nerve-wracking but an incredible experience. I loved every minute of the six days I was there and am very grateful for the recognition of my hard work.

"I deeply appreciate all my clients who support me and my business; their support means everything to me."
