A CUMBRIAN bakery has grown from strength to strength since it's start up in 2020, with an online service now being launched for its products to be sold nationally.
Cumbrian Baker, was founded in 2020 by owner Sharon Rutland from her garage kitchen. The popular bakery which is now based on the Lakeland Business Park, in Cockermouth has become a firm favourite for many Cumbrians- with tasty traybakes, sandwiches and cakes being sold from the takeaway attached to the kitchen.
Now, Sharon is hoping for some national success and has launched a brand new online store, delivering tasty tray bakes nationwide.
Speaking about the expansion of her business, Sharon Rutland, Owner of Cumbrian Baker said: "When I set up Cumbrian Baker back in 2020, it was really only meant to be trade orders, supplying to some of my hospitality contacts across the region. I quickly realised there was a much bigger market out there and that my kitchen in the garage at home would not be big enough.
"Fast forward a couple of years, and we're so excited to not only see our business grow across the region but nationally now too.
"This is just the start for Cumbrian Baker. Me and the team (who without none of this would have been possible) are ready to grow even more with an expanded takeaway menu on the horizon and also increasing our online offering too so that we can showcase all the amazing ingredients and food producers Cumbria has to offer."
Customers can choose from four pre-picked boxes or can build their own. Satisfyingly sized and super thick, the traybakes include super sticky brownies, millionaire’s shortbread topped with a thick layer of caramel and chocolate, fruity blondies and oaty slices and include both gluten-free and vegan options.
The boxes are made to order at Cumbrian Baker’s HQ on the edge of the Lake District using the finest locally sourced ingredients and are delivered using next-day delivery every Thursday nationwide, just in time for the weekend. Gift options are also available.
Boxes are now available for weekly orders at www.cumbrianbaker.com.
