CUMBRIA Health is set to embark on a charity walk in memory of baby Maddison Brown.

On Thursday, November 9 2023 at 4:55 pm Maddison was stillborn due to severe pre-eclampsia.

In her memory, Cumbria Health has organised a charity walk along a route between the bridge over the River Eden to the Carlisle amble loop from Stanwix with an initial meeting point at Carlisle Cricket Club on Sunday, April 28

Participation in the event costs £5 per person or £10 for a family with all the money raised by the event set to be donated to 4Louis, a national charity that supports anyone affected by miscarriage, stillbirth, and the death of a baby or child.

A spokesperson from Cumbria Health on behalf of Maddison's family, said: "Maddison was born sleeping on 9th November 2023. She was perfect in every way but due to severe pre-eclampsia, she entered the world silently and was stillbirth.

"It was so unexpected and absolutely devastating after a perfect pregnancy.

"Maddison was surrounded by family and love for the 4 days we were able to spend in the hospital with her.

"The days were spent making precious memories, never how any of us had imagined to, but memories that our families will cherish forever.

"Maddison lives on through our family and friend's memories, she is loved so very much and will always be part of our family, always celebrated, and never forgotten as she has left the biggest hole in all of our hearts."

Cumbria Health is also raising money for 4Louis through a JustGiving page which can be found HERE
