Delkia, a renowned engineering and technology firm, has appointed Geoff Cooper to the position of technical and engineering director.

Promoted internally, this strategic move came as the company gears up to strengthen its top brass, whilst focusing on delivering excellence to its growing clientele across clean energy, aerospace and maritime sectors.

"As technical and engineering director, Geoff will ensure we develop our capabilities to meet the needs of major customers such as BAE Systems and Sellafield Ltd, develop innovative technologies and products to continue our success story as a growing British engineering and technology company."

Geoff accepted the challenge with enthusiasm. He stated: "I am pleased to accept the new challenge of technical and engineering director, as a cross sector role it is exciting to extend my own knowledge and develop the Delkia engineering capability to provide excellence to our customers."

His career journey began as an apprentice with BAE Systems, moving through the ranks and managing manufacturing and maintenance for multiple air systems.

Geoff later tackled Typhoon and UAS engineering projects before becoming an engineering data manager.

He expanded his skillset by working three and a half years at Thales ISR as a technical assurance manager.

Geoff joined Delkia in March 2023 as a technical manager for aerospace and has vastly contributed to the company's growth within the sector.

Amidst a flourishing order book for 2024, his experience in product and service management will be pivotal in fuelling Delkia's year.
