Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa, a multi-award-winning hotel nestled in the northern Lake District, has completed a £1.5 million investment into its luxury offering with the unveiling of 12 opulent spa garden suites.

Completed in May 2023, the hotel’s elegant development is an extension of the recent redecoration of public spaces including the Lake View restaurant, lounge, and reception areas.

The new project was born in response to the surging demand from the luxury market.

Each suite boasts a substantial floor space spanning an impressive 40-50sqm, and integrates with the lush, verdant landscape just beyond its doors and accessible via a private patio.

The sense of cosiness and comfort is enhanced through the use of natural materials and textures, with contemporary fireplaces adorning each suite.

The layout of the new spa garden suites has been designed by Architect Unwin Jones in partnership with the hotel.

Each suite includes a generous lobby area, a lavish 4-piece bathroom, a deluxe bedroom, and a lounge adorned with expansive glazed windows that provide breathtaking views of the garden.

The Spa Garden Suites take inspiration from the hotel’s natural environment with materials chosen to tie in with the historic architecture of Armathwaite Hall.

Recently, the hotel and spa received the prestigious 5-bubble rating from the Good Spa Guide.

The Good Spa Guide is recognised as one of the UK spa industry leaders; 'setting the benchmark for quality, innovation, service, and excellence'.

Commenting on the completion of the new the new suites, general manager Simon Steele said: "We are excited to announce the completion of our new Spa Garden Suites.

"The decision to develop these was driven by the growing high-end leisure market and the increasing demand for spacious and luxurious bedrooms by our spa guests.

"At Armathwaite Hall, we are dedicated to continuously improving our guests’ experience and we are confident that our enhanced and upgraded suites will surpass their expectations, providing them with an exceptional space to unwind and rejuvenate," he said.
